Note to IGSSA Competitors

Due to a scheduling clash, the Friday night of the Summer Sensation will run alongside the IGSSA swim meet.

To allow both events to coincide with minimal impact, Friday night’s schedule of events for the Summer Sensation will take place in the outdoor 10 lane pool at Challenge Stadium.

Swimming WA notes that this will be the last opportunity for many swimmers to register a qualifying time for the Australian Age Championships.

There are 4 events (200m breaststroke, 400 Freestyle, girls 14yrs 50 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke) held on the Friday night which are national Age Championship events. Swimming WA will offer Swimming WA members from IGSSA schools a "heat" opportunity during the remainder of the Summer Sensation weekend if they wish to enter these specific events.  In addition, we will allow the use of these times to go towards the meet’s highest point scorer, so that those swimmers are eligible for prizes etc.

Swimming WA are strong supporters of IGSSA and the other school sport associations and work very closely with them.  We are initiating a new pathway opportunity to reinstate the State - Schools Swimming team for 2012 to attend Nationals and are supported by IGSSA in doing so.

Further information on the entry process and exact timing of these 4 heats will be provided closer to the event.

Please note, Live Results are not available for this meet.
