“A Swim AustraliaTM Teacher of Competitive Swimming will be competent to deliver basic swimming squad sessions that develop the swimming technique of novice Swimmers – this is generally defined as Swimmers who are recent “Learn to Swim” Graduates and are in the likes of a “mini squad” (usually around 10-years and under) and still acquiring the skills needed to transition into competition.”

The cost covers:
Students who successfully complete all Swim AustraliaTM Teacher of Competitive Swimming requirements are issued with a Statement of Attainment with the following competencies from the Community Recreation Industry Training Package:
SISSSWM301A – Teach the competitive strokes of swimming SISSCGP201A – Apply legal and ethical coaching practices
Course Student Insurance is provided whilst undertaking course components. The insurance provided as part of your course enrolment will cease once any of the following occur:
it is 12 months after your practical induction and you have not been assessed as competent
you receive payment whilst a Trainee
28 days after the date of a satisfactory competency assessment
Personal Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance can be purchased through ASCTA for $79 as little as per annum. Complete the Information and Membership Application or contact the ASCTA Insurance Brokers, Marsh on 1300 305 575 for assistance in obtaining the correct insurance cover.
