The 2022 Australian Short Course Championships, also known as Sydney Sprints, were held from Wednesday, 24 to Saturday, 27 August at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre over East. The Australian Short Course Champs doubled up as the national trials for the 2022 FINA World Swimming Championships, which will be held in Melbourne this December.

16 Western Australian athletes from 8 different clubs competed and represented their state. Not only were our swimmers representing us, but we also saw 8 of our technical officials who were appointed to officiate the competition. Well done to Ian Arblaster, Robyn Arblaster, Kaye Bolger, Steve Hill, Katherine Hurford, Jacqui McNamara, Darren Michael and Nick Short.

It's great to have interstate racing back on the cards again after boarders being closed and even better to see some of the results our swimmers are pumping out.

After a block of hard training during Winter, now was the time for some fast racing. Let's congratulate our swimmers, listed below, for their successes.
