Swimming WA, through the support from the Department of Sport and Recreation, is pleased to launch the Level Up Network.
This initiative is a networking group or "Community of Practice" for performance pathway coaching females (Advanced or working towards Advanced accreditation) which will meet up to connect and support each other through 2023.
As detailed in the Swimming Australia Independent Report, Swimming needs to improve the number of women selected on teams for National and International competitions (Recommendation #27). The increase and retention of these female coaches is also a priority for Swimming WA as detailed in the strategic plan and with only 41% of the currently accredited Advanced coaches in WA being female. To support these current and future female pathway coaches, Swimming WA has created the Level Up Network to facilitate an opportunity for these coaches to collaborate and support one another through this community of practice.
