WA Technical Official, Kaye Bolger, announced as FINA Accredited Referee

08 November 2022

Congratulations to Kaye Bolger, who has recently been announced as FINA-Accredited Referee and will be flying over to Melbourne in December for the FINA World Championships.

Two additional positions were made available for Australian Referees. Kaye is very deserving to be one of those additional referees, alongside Sarah Emery (QLD) as the second appointed referee. The Swimming WA Chief Referee contributes significantly to supporting Swimming in Western Australia. She ensures that the standards and ideals are upheld by our technical officials and has given up countless amounts of time officiating at our events.

In 1987, Kaye helped out as a timekeeper and parent at Albany Swim Club and today she is one of the main faces of Technical Officiating in WA and travels interstate and internationally to officiate at swimming events. As a result, Swimming WA will now be represented, at these upcoming FINA World Championships, by three Technical Officials: Kaye Bolger, Jacqui McNamara and Ryan Arblaster.

From all the Swimming WA community we'd like to congratulate Kaye on her announcement as new FINA-Accredited Referee!
