2012 Western Australian Age Short Course Team Announced

Swimming WA have selected a squad of 35 swimmers to travel to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra to represent Western Australia at the 2012 State Teams Age Short Course Championships.
The team will leave Perth on Thursday 4th October and return on Monday 8th October. During this time they will compete against the best age swimmers the other States and Territories have to offer.
The top five (5) swimmers in each age group based on FINA Points will be fully funded; all other swimmers are required to contribute $200.00 towards the cost of their trip who will be required to submit the payment prior to the team event.
If you wish to accept your position on this team please contact Hayden Williams by 5pm Wednesday 29th August, an athlete agreement will then be sent out for you, your parents and coach to sign.
10 coaches and team managers will accompany the team.
Age group coaches will be selected based on the athlete with the highest FINA point score in an individual short course event in 2012.
Where less than four (4) coaches are selected on this criteria the coach with the most athletes on the team will be selected.
