Day 7 of the Paralympic Games saw Kat Downie fire up once again to finish sixth in women’s 400m freestyle (S10) in an impressive 4:53.59.
Western Australia waited in anticipation as the triple paralympian Jeremy McClure stepped up to the blocks in his first swim of the Games, men’s 100m backstroke (S12). McClure delivered an impressive performance in the Heat to finish 4th in 1:07.17. McClure progressed to a strong final where he improved on his heat swim to finish 8th in a stellar time of 1:07.11.
McClure will feature on Day 9 of the Games in the Men's 50m Freestyle.
