Urgent notice: Perth City Classic - Change of Start Time and Notice of Withdrawal of Events

Please be advised that due to the large number of entries in the 400m & 800m Events in the Perth City LC Classic, the anticipated timeline line has the meet finishing well past the cut off time of 6.00PM.
As outlined in the Entry Information “In the event that after the entries close we find that the swim meet will cease after 6.00PM, then we are required, as per Swimming WA ruling, to withdraw some, or all, of the 50M events (Non-Olympic events first) to accommodate a reasonable time frame.”
The organising committee has had to withdraw all the 50M Breaststroke, 50M Backstroke and 50M Butterfly events (The full list of withdrawn events are listed below).
Please note the 50M Freestyle events will still take place.
By making these changes it is anticipate that the meet will conclude at the designated time of 6.00PM. However, it is anticipated that the last event, Event 80 (800M heats) will take 1.5 hours. Hence the meet for most participants will conclude around 4.30PM.
All swimmers entered in the withdrawn events will be refunded the entry fee for these events.
Also please note that the Start time for Event 1 has changed to 8.30AM.
Warm up will commence at 8.00AM with the pool cleared at 8.20AM. Warm ups can continue in the dive pool for those not entered in the 400M events.
Perth City would like to apologise to those effect by these late changes to the program.
