- Would you like to be part of exciting events in Western Australian and get the opportunity to travel interstate and overseas?
- Are you interested in helping out your local club while your child is swimming?
- Are you a former swimmer looking to give back to the sport you love?
Swimming, similar to many other sports, relies heavily on volunteers. Swimming competitions and events are important to the development of our swimmers and without the assistance and guidance of technical officials, these events cannot be run.
There are many positions that Technical Officials undertake at swimming meets, which means there is an abundance of variety for those wanting to get a bit closer to the action and officiate at events!
Swimming WA appreciates all the work our Officials do to assist on deck, at the Open Water events, and behind the scenes at our competitions and within the Club and District swimming environment throughout metro and regional WA.
The Swimming Australia (SAL) National Officiating Program requires officials to be re-accredited every 4 years. Once accredited, you will be sent an NOP card listing your qualifications and your “Technical Official’s Number”.
See the video below for highlights and how to become a Technical Official!
