SWA Membership Database Updates
Swimming WA announced that it will be contracting with “My Swim Results” to provide a new membership Database.
My Swim Results has been providing SWA with the means to successfully manage a results database for many years. The recently introduced online entry system from My Swim results, has allowed SWA bring back an on-line entry system for Club and State meets.
The final touches and testing of SWA's new membership database are progressing well. Watch this page for further information and updates as we approach the start of membership renewal.
Update Friday 22 August 2014
In the next few weeks we will be opening up the New Membership Database for renewals and new members.
In order for Clubs to receive their club membership fees directly into their bank accounts, My Swim Results (MSR) require a letter from the Club President on Club letterhead stating:
- the Name of The Club Bank Account,
- The Account number and
- BSB Number.
SWA are aware that currently this information is contained in ClubLANE. However, MY Swim Results (MSR) are required to have formal letters stating the bank account of the association or club.
Please send us these letters by October 1st, 2014. Until SWA has received the club bank details on club letterhead, MSR cannot deposit the club portion of the membership fees directly into Club accounts.
The letter should be either:
- scanned and emailed to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
- mailed to Swimming WA, PO Box 205, Leederville, WA 6903. Until we have your account details, we will not be able to refund your membership fees taken online.
This year, we are strongly encouraging clubs to make use of the online membership capabilities.
SWA feel that the benefits offered by our Membership database partner, My Swim Results (MSR), is excellent value for money. Benefits include:
- Simple online renewal for members
- Easy Club controlled On-line entry for club nights
- On-line event registration
- Prospective member tracking
- Electronic Newsletter capabilities
- Reports on Membership and membership results
- Coaching & Squad reporting features
Swimming WA will absorb the commission on the SWA portion of the membership fees. Swimmers can go online and renew their SWA membership, even if the club chooses not to use MSR to collect their club fees.
Should clubs choose to take advantage of the online renewal service, by including their membership fee for on-line renewal then, clubs must absorb the commission, when they set their fees for next season. The commission on club fees will be 6% (including GST). For example; if your club fees for a competitive swimmer are $100 annually, My Swim Results will refund $94.00 directly into the club Bank account and send a .pdf summary of who has paid what.
