Darren has worked in the Information Technology field for more than 40 years and has specialised in digital forensics for the past 25 years. In this field, Darren worked in professional services, including working for one of the big four consulting firms, where he worked closely with risk management and the internal audit teams. He currently runs his own Digital Forensics and Incident Response company, based in Perth.
Prior to setting up his own business, Darren was the Chief Information Officer for a national stock broking firm with ten offices across Australia and over 300 staff. This provided Darren with a broad understanding of what it takes to run a successful business. He has completed the AICD Company Directors course and is also currently a Director of WestSwim Lakelands.
Darren's mix of business and swimming experience means he brings the necessary skill set to the SWA board. His deep understanding of the modern Information Technology environment greatly benefits SWA along with his knowledge on the risks and opportunities to business management, which is paramount for the success of an enterprise in the current era.
Kerry O’Sullivan is a committed and experienced strategy professional, with an international career spanning corporate roles in the UK and Australia.
Kerry brings structured thinking, innovation and collaboration to her leadership roles, with expertise in risk management and both strategy design and implementation.
Kerry is currently the Head of Philanthropy and Special Projects at WA Cricket and is motivated by giving back to the community and using sport as a mechanism for social change. Having studied at Cambridge University, Kerry started her career as a management consultant for Monitor-Deloitte before refocusing her efforts in the not-for-profit sector.
Prior to moving to WA, Kerry worked at Cancer Research UK, one of the largest not-for-profits in the UK. Since moving to Perth in 2017 she has worked at the West Australian Football Commission, and more recently WA Cricket.
Libby Fulham is the Executive Director of the Legal Practice Board.
She has a background in civil litigation, corporate and administrative law. Libby has over 25 years of senior management and business operations experience in the legal and industrial microbiology fields. Libby has been instrumental in leadership roles and has a proven breadth of achievement in business and commercial strategy and operations.
Libby has worked for the Legal Practice Board for 11 years, serving as the Deputy Executive Director from 2014 to 2017 and was appointed Executive Director in August 2017.
Libby also sits on a number of NFP sporting Boards, and is a Nationally Accredited Netball Umpire.
Jocelyn has over 30 years of experience in the public sector, currently working as Business Manager for WA Country Health Service – Wheatbelt Aged Care and is involved, at a regional level, in Finance and Workforce Governance, Health Information Management, Work Health & Safety and Disability Access & Inclusion. As well as being a small business owner with her husband in Northam.
Jocelyn has a passion for governance and supporting others to succeed. She has been an integral part of the Northam Swimming Club for over 10 years and at a Wheatbelt regional level for the last 5 years. Jocelyn has been involved at club and associations level for hockey, holding a number of executive/office bearer positions in a wide range of community groups over the last 20 years.
Jocelyn brings a great country and club level perspective to the Board.
David is a business founder and senior executive with extensive board level experience and expertise in the Mining, Manufacturing, Retail, Consulting and Not-for-Profit sectors. He has deep skills in strategy development, business improvement, people and culture, marketing and communications and sustainability (ESG) to deliver increased growth and earnings.
He is currently Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer for a listed Engineering and Construction contracting business where he oversees strategy development and reporting, as well as managing a diverse portfolio of corporate support functions. David previously founded a leading management consulting firm with offices in Australia and Singapore. He sold the business following 21 years of private ownership.
David joined the Board of Swimming WA in June 2023. He is a keen swimmer and has completed several solo crossings of the Rottnest Channel Swim. He is a former ironman triathlete and an Australian representative at the UCI World Road Cycling Championships.
David holds a Masters in Commerce and has completed the AICD’s Company Directors Course. He is also Non-Executive Director at Mosaic Community Care..
Karen Wheatland is a dedicated community leader and a strong advocate for equity, particularly for women and underrepresented people/groups. Karen has been deeply involved in a variety of initiatives, from schools and sports to broader community projects, always striving to make a positive impact.
Since her election to the City of Melville Council in 2017, Karen has focused on creating an inclusive community where everyone’s voice is heard. For the past seven years, Karen has also been deeply focused on governance in local government, state boards, and sporting organisations.

Karen’s groundbreaking career in the maritime industry saw her as the first woman crew member on Fremantle Harbour’s tugboats, with roles including Tugboat Rating, Master Mariner, Merchant Seafarer and Pearl Diver. Her maritime background took her to many corners of WA, with her maritime career ending in 2018 due to a workplace accident and her passion for advocacy only grew stronger. In addition to her community work, she runs Seagal Media & Consultancy, capturing the stories and moments that make Western Australia unique.
