Make a difference within the Swimming WA community!

At Swimming WA, our success depends on the support of our amazing volunteers. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit regularly, there’s a place for you to help us.

You don't have to be a Swimming WA member to volunteer but some roles will require a Working with Children (WWC) Check.

  • Volunteer of the Month (VOTM)
  • Volunteers are an integral part of our sport, whether that be helping to set up a swim meet, being a last-minute timekeeper or cooking sausages for a fundraiser.  Swimming WA are wanting to acknowledge how hard our volunteers work and we have put together an initiative to recognise and reward these local legends. So, if you have a superstar volunteer at your club doing great things, please share with our swimming community!

    How it works:

    • Every month from October to April, Swimming WA will be asking for nominations for Volunteer of the Month.
    • Nominations will open on the 1st of the month and close on the last day of the month.
    • Nominations will be sent to the Swimming WA Honours and Awards Committee who will decide on the monthly winner.
    • Winners will be announced the following month via the Swimming WA website and Facebook page.
    • All monthly winners will receive a prize and be elevated for selection to be named Volunteer of the Year at the annual Awards of Excellence.

*Nominations for the season have ended and will open in October for the 2024/25 season.
