Join us for an exciting opportunity to enhance your open water swimming skills with the expertise of WA's finest open water coaches and athletes! 

Lead Coach - Jason Evans, the current water coach at City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club, has extensive experience in open water surf races at both state and national levels. Currently coaching at South Shore Swimming Club, Jason is at the forefront of the Coogee Clinic, ensuring participants receive expert guidance. Bianca Monaco, State Open Water Champion and National Open Water competitor and Andrew Morris, a National Open Water 5km and 10km star and Solo Rottnest Crossing swimmer, will also join as featured athletes.

Clinic Structure

Session 1 - Introduction to Open Water

Registration: 8:45 am | Session start: 9:00 am | Duration: 1 hour

For swimmers aiming for their first open water experience or looking to enhance their skills for 1.25km or 2.5km events.

  • Starting Tactics in Open Water

Session 2 - Open Water Skills and Tactics

Registration: 9:45 am | Session start: 10:00 am | Duration: 1 hour

For Swimmers comfortable with 5km, 7.5km, or 10km distances, particularly those preparing for Rottnest or Port to Pub swims.
