Event Details
Swimming WA are hosting two development clinics over the weekend of 18-19 June 2022. Join Swimming WA and Olympians Tommaso D'Orsogna and Steve Bird for a morning of developing swimming skills and learning from the best.
These clinics are available for Swimming WA members registered with clubs within the South West Region.
Event Details:
Saturday 18th June – Junior Clinic 8-12 years
Sunday 19th June 2022 – Senior Clinic 13+ years
Venue: Margaret River Recreation Centre
Time: 9am – 11:30am
Tommaso D’Orsogna: Australian Dolphin #669, Tommaso D'Orsogna is an Olympic, Commonwealth Games, and World Championship medallist who specialised in sprint freestyle and butterfly. Since retiring from swimming, Tommaso has remained closely involved in the sport as a Director on the Swimming WA Board. Away from the pool, Tommaso is a Doctor at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Steve Bird: Dual-Olympian, Steve Bird represented Australia in Sprint Kayak at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics. After stepping away from his sport in 2018, Steve pursued an undergraduate psychology degree, and will shortly finish his honours year. Steve's passion for sport continues through his work as North Cottesloe Surf Club's Surf Sports Development Officer.
