2022 Swimming WA Junior Short Course Championships - Wrap Up

The 2022 Junior Short Course Championships took place last weekend at HBF Stadium with a massive 573 competitors from 44 clubs taking to the water.

Our top achievers of the meet are as followed.

Female Top Achievers of the Meet

1 Mia-Maria Gstaettner Rockingham 124 points
2 Ciara Conroy Southside Penrhos Wesley 98 points
3 Lucia Anderson Kwinana 90 points
4 Amelia Mcivor Southlake Dolphins 83 points
5 Kaydee Van Deventer Highlanders 79 points

Male Top Achievers of the Meet

1 Rhys Fowler Scarborough Beach 90 points
2 Aaden Kettle Guildford Kalamunda 87 points
3 Arekah Paki Rockingham 83.50 points
4 Aldrich Frederic Southlake Dolphins 79.50 points
5 Jay Pfoeffer Australind 78 points

Top club of the meet goes to Southside Penrhos Wesley who earned 581 points from 36 of their competitors. The top country club goes to Australind who earned 169 points from 11 of their competitors.

Once again, Swimming WA would like to thank our wonderful Technical Officials who work tirelessly to ensure the success of events such as this weekend. The officiating community in Western Australia is the best in the country and without their ongoing support, Swimming WA would not be able to continue to prosper.

Attention now turns to the long course season with the action kicking off at the 2022 Long Course Season Opener taking place at HBF Stadium on 15-16 October.
