2026 Swimming WA short course calendar locked in

Swimming WA has confirmed the dates for its 2026 short course season, with several key updates to support athlete performance and streamline event scheduling.

All five meets will once again take place at Perth High Performance Centre (HPC), kicking off in mid-May and wrapping up in September. The season features two key qualifying meets, the Hancock Prospecting WA Short Course Championships, and the Swimming WA Junior Short Course Championships.

There are a few key changes to note:

• The Hancock Prospecting WA Short Course Championships have been rescheduled for late August, providing swimmers with more training and competition opportunities during the short course season.
• The Swimming WA Junior Short Course Championships have been moved to mid-September, avoiding a clash with Father’s Day weekend.
• Swimming WA will host an additional qualifying meet in August to alleviate some of the pressures associated with meets filling in a short space of time.
