The D'Arcy Slater Foundation and WAIS are pleased to advise applications for the D'Arcy Slater Foundation scholarship 2019 winter round are now open.
WAIS has been approached by the D'Arcy Slater Foundation to facilitate the sport scholarship program and is proud to be assisting the Foundation in their endeavours.
Scholarships will be offered on a bi-annual basis, to ensure that both winter and summer sports have equal opportunity to be considered.
Up to seven individual scholarships worth $5,000 will be awarded annually, together with up to one team scholarship worth $10,000 in our winter round.
Applicants are required to meet the selection criteria, which consists of
- Personal qualities
- The importance of their sporting goal in career pathway
- Financial need
- Financial status
Applications will be assessed by a selection panel, consisting of the three WAIS Performance Team Directors. All successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
Applications are now open and applicants can apply via the application form available on the WAIS website - http://www.wais.org.au/darcy-slater-foundation-sports-scholarships. The winter application period closes at 5pm on Friday, 12 July 2019.
