SWA visits Narembeen!

14 February 2020

Swimming WA lead by Justin Blades (Development Officer) and Luke Gavin (Athlete and Coach Development Manager) visited Narembeen to facilitate a Coaches Workshop and Swimming Clinic on Wednesday 12 February.

50 coaches and swimmers attended the day. The Coaches Workshop was run at Narembeen Senior High School with Luke providing his expertise to educate the coaches on ways to improve their athletes’ performances at training. The Swimming Clinic was highly beneficial for all swimmers with new skills and techniques being learnt during each of the sessions both on land and in the water.

Residing in the Great Southern Region, Narembeen Swimming Club is located in the heart of the Wheatbelt, 286km east of Perth. The town has evolved from its traditional rural history and today plays an important role within the Wheatbelt in cereal cropping, cattle and sheep production, agricultural innovation as well as support from industry such as engineering, auto works and tourism.

Narembeen is a vibrant community and Swimming WA is delighted to be reaffiliated with Narembeen Swimming Club this season. Swimming WA looks forward to continuing their relationship with Narembeen Swimming Club for many years.
