Swimming WA Performance Pathway Programme Coaches Announced

02 October 2020

Swimming WA is pleased to announce the Performance Pathway Programme (PPP) Coaches for the 2020/21 season.

As part of its strategic and financial planning for the coming year, the Swimming WA Board and Management have identified Coach Development as essential to ensuring that swimming in Western Australia remains strong during and post the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The Coaches will play a pivotal part in the success of the Performance Pathway Programme but will provide numerous opportunities for Coaches across the State to develop their skills through a range of activities.

WA State Head Coach, Leigh Nugent, will oversee the programme providing a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure WA Coaches continue to pursue best practices and work together to grow the sport across the State.

Congratulations to the following Coaches;
Gold Squad - Will Scott, WAIS
Silver Squad - Harry Clark, Breakers
Bronze Squad - Cameron Hawthorn, Scarborough Beach
Junior & Country Squad - Will Greenwood, Westside Christchurch
Open Water Squad - Ian Mills, North Coast

Swimming WA is proud of the coaching group that has been selected with an immense amount of knowledge and passion throughout the group.

The PPP Coaches will also act as mentors for several regional clubs to assist with the development of swimming throughout WA.

We look forward to sharing more information with regards to Performance events and programme successes.
