Western Australian Short Course Swimming Championships

02 September 2019

On 6-8 September 2019, WA’s best swimmers will descend upon HBF Stadium to compete at the 2019 Western Australian Short Course Swimming Championships. The Meet will serve as a vital check point for all athletes as they get ready for a big summer, culminating in the 2020 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships which serve as Tokyo Olympic Game Trials.

With a number of Olympic hopefuls set to compete, spectators will be treated to swims by the likes of Ashton Brinkworth, Zac Incerti, Holly Barratt, Ben Roberts, Nicholas Brown and many more as our elite athletes battle to be crowned State Champion for 2019.

Additionally, the Championships will serve as qualification for the 2019 State Teams Championships to be held on 4-6 October 2019 at the AIS in Canberra. In the 10thyear of the Championships, WA is hoping for a strong showing which will require athletes to perform optimally in order to be selected in the team. The WA State Team will be announced after the conclusion of the final session on Sunday, 8 September.

The Short Course State Championships is shaping to be one of the greatest spectacles on the Swimming WA calendar, an event not to be missed. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, with the first session commencing at 3:30pm on Friday, 6 September.

We hope to see you there!
