Westpac Volunteer of the Month

01 November 2019

Swimming WA is pleased to announce that the Westpac Volunteer of the Month for the month of October is Jeannette Casotti of Guildford and Kalamunda Districts Swimming Club.

Jen has been with GKDSC for approximately four years and supports the Club in many ways. Jen is known for being one of the first to volunteer her time – whether that be through officiating at Club Meets, sponsoring events at Meets, operating the computer at Meets, selling raffle tickets or helping with various other Club activities.

Throughout GKDSC’s growing involvement in the community and with local schools, Jen has supported the Club by assisting schools in the running of their swimming carnivals. Jen did such a fantastic job this year that she has already had a number of requests to return in 2020!

Volunteers like Jen, who gives her time without a fuss and goes about her work in a quiet and helpful manner, are the backbone of Swimming WA Clubs. Without such volunteers, Swimming WA and our Clubs would struggle to offer our Members such fantastic opportunities.

Thank you, and congratulations, Jen!

Jen was awarded a Westpac prize and now goes into the running for the Swimming WA Volunteer of the Year which is announced in May at the 2020 Westpac Swimmer of the Year Awards.

The Swimming WA Volunteer of the Year will receive return flights, accommodation and tickets for two people to attend the Swimming Australia Gala Dinner (date and venue TBC).

Swimming WA will be accepting nominations for the Westpac Volunteer of the Month until 30 April 2020. For more information visit https://wa.swimming.org.au/resources/clubs/westpac-volunteer-month
