NSW Breaststroker Matt Wilson in competition

Swimming is embedded in Australia's spirit. We live in a country of forever sunshine, surrounded by beaches, pools and rivers.

Swimming is not just a well-loved sport and recreational activity - it's an incredibly important skill that promotes life-long health, fitness and mobility, and prevents drownings.

Aside from the many physical benefits it provides, the ability to swim (and swim well) offers cultural and social benefits. Competent swimmers can participate in swimming clubs and ocean swimming throughout their lives.

Become a sponsor or partner

Founded in 1889, Swimming NSW is the peak governing body for the sport across NSW and the ACT. We are a not-for-profit member service organisation that works to provide participation and development opportunities for 306 clubs and over 27,000 members.

The operation of our sport is made possible through the devoted work of volunteer club committee members and technical officials, and a small number of paid office staff.

Swimming NSW's mission is to become our state's leading sport through increased participation, enhanced performance and through the provision of quality life skills developing programs for the community. We are proud to have the support of various commercial sponsors and partners, whom through their support, make it possible for us to share our love of swimming with the people of NSW.

Our organisation has a significant footprint in the sporting landscape across NSW and the ACT, and a partnership with us would provide exposure to our extensive communication network (including a social media audience of over 32,000 followers) as well as association with a peak state sporting organisation representing Australia's most popular Olympic sport.
