2016 – 2017 Swimming WA Volunteer of the Year Programme
Do you know a Volunteer or Official in your Club who always goes the extra mile?
Would you like to recognise and reward your Club Volunteers and Officials?
Swimming WA presents the Volunteer of the Year Programme.
Swimming WA recognises that volunteers are a vital part of our sport and so has created a programme to promote and reward hard working volunteers.
From 1 October 2016, Swimming WA will call for nominations for a Volunteer of the Month each month until 30 April 2017. Nominations are to be sent to email@example.com by close of business on the last day of each month.
All volunteers who win a monthly award will be put forward for the Volunteer of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual Swimming WA Swimmer of the Year Awards event in 2017.
The Swimming WA Honours and Awards Committee will meet to decide on the monthly and yearly winners.
Both the nominator and the nominee must be current financial Swimming WA members.
Nominations received by Swimming WA will be forwarded to Swimming Australia’s Local Legends volunteer programme each month.
The Swimming WA Volunteer of the Month and Year will be recognised on the Swimming WA website wa.swimming.org.au and in the monthly newsletter, e-Splash and Club’s Corner newsletter.
Remember to email Swimming WA Youth Development Officer Adele Schultz: firstname.lastname@example.org your Club’s volunteer good news stories to be put into the Swimming WA’s weekly Club’s Corner newsletter.
The Swimming WA Volunteer of the Month will receive a Swimming WA leather notebook and plaque. The monthly winners will automatically be nominated for the Swimming WA Volunteer of the Year.
The Swimming WA Volunteer of the Year will receive return flights, accommodation and tickets for two people to attend the Swimming Australia Swimmer of Year Awards in 2017.
