The aim of YouVolunteer is to develop and implement a framework for engaging youth volunteers in sport.
The YouVolunteer Project will build the capacity of the volunteer workforce within State Sporting Associations (SSA) and their affiliated clubs, while also engaging young people in a variety of roles within sport.
The Project will link young people (aged 14-24) with volunteering opportunities in sport and related clubs, using the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Framework (Duke of Ed).
YouVolunteer will focus on key areas, with the ultimate goal being the provision of inclusive, safe, and accessible volunteering opportunities for young people within the sport sector.
The State Government, through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, is a major supporter of the YouVolunteer initiative in Western Australia.
