Swimming WA is pleased to announce the 2020/21 Performance Pathway Programme Squad Members. Much like previous years, Swimming WA will run Gold, Silver and Bronze Flipper, Open Water, Para, Country and Junior squads which have been selected based on a range of events throughout 2020.
Although the major selection events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Swimming WA Staff and the State Head Coach, Leigh Nugent, have been working hard to ensure athletes receive the deserved acknowledgment and that athletic development is continued through these uncertain times.
Swimming WA’s Athlete and Coach Development Manager, Luke Gavin, said: “the Performance Pathway Programme is an amazing initiative showing the ongoing support to athletic development from Swimming WA”. Gavin continued, “It is an exciting time to be a part of Swimming in Western Australia, with Tokyo 2021 around the corner and a range of high-performance opportunities available for athletes shortly”.
