Well, what a crazy world we find ourselves in!
The 2019/20 SunSmart Long Course season was powering towards a highly exciting and anticipated weekend into the Hancock Prospecting Junior Championships and the next, it all stopped with a thump.
On behalf of SWA staff, and competitors I wanted to write to thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to the sport of Swimming. Without Technical Officials generation after generations, our swimmers would not be able to compete and thrive in the sport we all hold close to our hearts.
During these turbulent times, I understand some of you will be worried about friends, family and even yourselves. I encourage you to enjoy the forced break and take some well-deserved rest!
For those wanting to keep busy and need to stimulate themselves in other ways, this could be a great time to complete some online training or discuss with someone who has shown interest in officiating to start the online component so when pools reopen and competitions are up and running again we can hit the ground running getting kids back into the water.
