A warm hello to all of our Members right across this great State of ours! We have had a great opening response to our Membership for 2020/21 season. Also, the response to our events has been astronomical, Open Water has broken round records, Swimming WA Meets have had 700 plus athletes partaking in both Long Course Qualifying meets. These would not be possible without our diligent Technical Officials and dedicated Coaches supporting our wonderful sport so Thank you!
As the environment, we all live in has changed and the Hancock Prospecting Short Course Australian Championships being cancelled with the change to a 'Virtual' Championships saw some fantastic results across the Nation and in our own backyard.
I had the pleasure of virtually meeting with the Club President's during November to gain feedback if the newly launched Swimming WA Values that they were resonating with the Membership. It was an insightful and truly invaluable insight into what our Clubs see at the core beliefs and direction of our Association. The Board directors and I along with the SWA Staff are committed in the future positive direction of our sporting community. The Swimming WA re-ignited values will be available to the Membership for the start of 2021.
Finally, from behalf of the Swimming WA Board, and SWA Staff Thank you for a challenging yet rewarding 2020. I sincerely hope you all enjoy a wonderful Christmas, and a safe New Years. I look forward to seeing everyone in 2021.
