Round 1 of the OWS Series at Coogee Beach, proudly presented by the City of Cockburn, did not disappoint, with near-perfect conditions to start the season for our 679 swimmers. A big thank you to all our volunteers that helped put on a great event and to our supporters SunSmart, Nova 93.7, Sharon Gleeson at Arbonne, Vorgee and the West Australian.
An additional two sighting buoys were added to the course, thanks to our partner at Westpac, assisting swimmers to find the best line and the favourable currents along with pool-like conditions helped our swimmers set some great times. On the beach today we had the Nova Casonova’s with plenty of free giveaways thanks to Westpac.
Up next on Saturday the 2nd of November is Round 2: Cottesloe presented by Westpac. Westpac volunteers will be on-site to with games for the whole family and again lots of giveaways, with conditions looking to be again ideal, don’t miss out on another great day of open water swimming and register now.
