Perth City turns it on for our International guests.

13 December 2019

The City of Perth Commissioner Mr. Len Kosova welcomed the international guests to the City and provide each with a gift from the City. City of Perth hosted a wonderful evening for our international guests. The Swimming WA President Mr. Louis van Aardt spoke of the commitment by Swimming WA to providing opportunities for Western Australian Coaches and athletes to train and compete internationally;

“Our goal at Swimming WA is to retain athletes aged 17 years and above who may begin to find the constraints of work and tertiary study difficult to juggle with their swimming. Trips such as the one that Leigh Nugent and Brooke Kemp took this year to Malaysia with our up and coming swimming stars of the future is the beginning of further such trips. At the same time, we hope to encourage Swimming Federations in the Region to come to Perth to train and compete against our best athletes, raising the level of competition and extending our coaches. We are all very excited about the Asia Pac Super Splash and to ensuring that this becomes a regular part of the swimming calendar within the Region”.

The action at HBF Stadium starts Saturday December 14th at 9.00 am.
