Policy update for members competing interstate

10 November 2023

Swimming WA has recently released a revised policy relating to members competing interstate. The updated policy, in line with existing practices across various state and territory bodies, aims to streamline the process for athletes competing outside Western Australia. Click here to view the policy.

The longstanding procedure has undergone careful consideration and refinement, with the revised policy now requiring athletes to seek clearance from Swimming WA before participating in any interstate competition.

To facilitate this process, athletes can conveniently apply for clearance through an online form available on the Swimming WA website. The form, accessible here, is designed to simplify and expedite the clearance application, allowing athletes to focus on their performance rather than administrative hurdles.

Swimming WA emphasises the mandatory nature of obtaining clearance before engaging in interstate competitions.

For those with enquiries or seeking further clarification regarding the updated policy, the Swimming WA office is available to assist. Members are encouraged to reach out for any questions or concerns, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of the new procedures.
