Round 4 Open Water Swimming Series Rockingham.

23 November 2019

State Championships and Club Premierships proudly presented by The West Australian Newspaper, The City of Rockingham and Naval Base Concrete.

What a great day at the OWS Series Rockingham! The water was a pristine and beautiful morning with a temperature rising to a beautiful sunny 30 degrees.  Participants came from far and wide to obliterate last season’s record of 454 swimmers, set a new venue record of 648.

It was excellent to have State representatives. The Hon State Premier of WA, Mr Mark McGowan and Deputy Premier of WA, Mr Roger Cook. Impressively, Mr Cook donned the silver racing cap and swam the 1.25km race in good time.

The City of Rockingham Mayor Mr Barry Sammels, also came down for the morning in full Rockingham community spirit to support the local participants and volunteers.

Congratulations to all our swimmers who chose to come to swim with us today and well done to those who challenged themselves to achieve their goals.

Some of the results from the day include:
