On Tuesday, 30 July, the Swimming WA Development Team were invited to Shenton College as industry experts to speak with students studying Certificates II and III in Sport and Recreation. The two 20-minute presentations focused on the function of Swimming WA as a State Sporting Association and how the body operates in the scheme of the sport generally.
The staff also spoke to the students about their respective journeys to a career in sports administration, inspiring students to consider where their studies and their sport may lead them.
The presentations were interactive, featuring a discussion about high performance and the Associations that support elite athletes.
