If New York is the city that never sleeps, then swimming is the sport that never sleeps. Saturday, 1 June will see the start of winter and a return of the swimming calendar, with the first Learn to Race clinic taking place in Geraldton to coincide with the Geraldton SC Classic. Swimmers aged eight and over can participate in the clinic, led by Westside Christ Church coaches Jon Harrison (Swimming WA Coaching Scholarship recipient) and Will Greenwood (Swimming WA Young Leader), focusing on the skill elements of racing. A guest physiotherapist and exercise physiologist, Todd Teakle, will also be in attendance to speak with parents and athletes about the development of young athletes and injury prevention. The following Saturday, 8 June, will see Rockingham Swimming Club host the final Splash & Dash carnival for season 2018/19. This will be the last chance for our rookie racers to complete their SunSmart Passports and claim a prize pack, so click here. Register now for more information and ensure you don’t miss out!

The fastest swimmers in the country will descend on Brisbane from 9 - 14 June for the Hancock Prospecting World Swimming Trials. The athletes are ready to race for a spot on the Australian Dolphins Swim Team as they strive to secure their seat on the plane to South Korea for the 2019 FINA World Championships (Gwangju, South Korea 12 - 28 July).
