Swimming WA is pleased to announce that the Westpac Volunteer of the Month for March is Sonia Knox from the Breakers Swimming Club.
Sonia provided leadership during a very uncertain time for the club when the City of Joondalup decided to cease providing the squad program. Her approach to his uncertain time provided reassurance to members and the committee which meant thatthere was no disruption to swimmers and the training program during this period.
Sonia Knox was awarded with a SWA prize and now goes into the running for the SWA Volunteer of the Year, which is announced in May at the 2020 Swimmer of the Year Awards.
The SWA Volunteer of the Year will receive return flights, accommodation and tickets for two (2) people to attend the Swimming Australia Gala Dinner (date and venue TBC).
