Westpac Renews Swimming WA Sponsorship

14 August 2019

The Western Australian Swimming Association Inc. (SWA) is delighted to announce that Gold Level Sponsor Westpac, has renewed its sponsorship with swimming in Western Australia.

With the commencement of the 2019/20 SunSmart Long Course season now only six weeks away, the Association has been working hard to ensure all commercial partners are in place. A key partner such as Westpac, who will move into their fourth year of supporting swimming in Western Australia, will be crucial for SWA’s growth plans.

SWA Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Darren Beazley was very pleased with this development:

“Swimming in WA is in a very healthy position currently. Membership across the state is now over 12,300 and growing. Our Learn to Swim business is expanding increasing the number of young Western Australians we are teaching to swim, the Open Water Series is the biggest of its kind in the nation, and our Clubs continue to put Western Australians on National teams on a regular basis.

However, none of that can be achieved without the support of our Sponsors such as Westpac. On behalf of the Association, our seven Regions and all 85 Clubs, I’d like to thank Westpac for their continued belief in the work we are doing and in our future directions. We are really excited about 2020 and thrilled Westpac will continue our journey on.”

Western Australians are hoping that several athletes, coaches and Technical Officials will be involved in the Tokyo Olympics from 24 July to 9 August 2020. Westpac’s continued support means that athletes have the opportunity to reach their goals, no matter where they live in the State.
