Asia-Pac Super Splash Preview

31 October 2019

After much anticipation, the 2019 Asia-Pac Super Splash is roaring and ready to go!

December 14 and 15 will see swimmers from across Asia and Australia converge on HBF Stadium in a battle for their Continent.

Swimmers from China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia are set to compete at a two-day international competition, providing many swimmers with their first opportunity to represent their Club, Country and Continent in an exhilarating race format which will feature swimmers aged 9 years to Open.

The competition is a part of a new initiative formed by Swimming WA with assistance from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to create a sports development relationship with our neighbouring nations.

The Asia-Pac Super Splash will take place at the world-class HBF Stadium Sporting Complex, which is the only Australian venue to host two FINA World Swimming Championships. The HBF Stadium pools have been built for high-performance use and will be a great opportunity for swimmers to experience the setting of international competition.

The event will be different from a normal swim Meet, as athletes will enter as either team Aussie or team Asia and compete for points throughout the Meet. After the Meet, the champion team will be presented a trophy.

Premium entry into the Meet is only $150 and includes an entry in eight individual events, relays, entry to HBF Stadium, a Meet Programme and an Asia-Pac Super Splash merchandise bag which includes a team shirt and swim cap!

Athletes will not only be competing for points for their Continent but they will also be competing to see who will be awarded the Swimmer of the Meet, which is sure to be a tight battle.

With medals, trophies and pride on the line, you won’t want to miss the action at HBF Stadium! The big question is who will be crowned the Asia-Pac Super Splash Champions for 2019.
