The Swimming WA Foundation fundraising effort has grown just that little bit more, with an amazing turnout to the inaugural open water swim to raise funds for swimmers with a disability – The Diamond Mile.
127 supporters took to the water to take on the unique “diamond” shaped course and were greeted with near perfect conditions at beautiful Bathers Beach in Fremantle, Saturday 6 April 2019. With nearly all aspects of the event donated and volunteers from Swimming WA overseeing the set-up, $5560 was raised, taking this years total to $11,631.
Swimming WA acknowledges HBF, Little Creatures Brewing, the Hyatt Regency Perth and the Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club for donating prizes and gifts that aided the fundraising.
