The next wave of Australian swimmers were put through their paces in a swimming clinic under the tutelage of some of Western Australia’s top talent including Evans, Irvine, Kevin Kalember and coach Lennard Bremer.

With swimmers from blue to gold standard taking part in skill-based sessions as well, as a question answer session, it was an exciting afternoon for all including Evans.

“Clinics and initiatives like the Bio Island Junior Excellence Program encourages kids to learn new skills, set goals and improve technique all whilst having fun. Swim clinics are also a great way to make new friends,” she said.

“For me, giving back to the sport that has given me so much is incredibly rewarding and to see the kids get excited about learning a new skill or drill, or even become more confident in what they’re doing, is great to watch.”
