Swimming WA is thrilled to announce Rosie Kapor, the President of Tom Price Amateur Swimming Club, as the deserving recipient of the Volunteer of the Month (VOTM) award for October in the 2023/24 season. Rosie's exceptional commitment and dedication to her role have not gone unnoticed.
Over the past year, Rosie has been the driving force behind the Tom Price Amateur Swimming Club. Her dedication to the club has been evident, with countless hours of hard work and a strong focus on enhancing the club's operations. One of her notable achievements is mastering the setup of Swim Central, a vital platform for the club, which she accomplished by participating in webinars, one-on-one training sessions, and even visiting the Swimming WA office in person.
Rosie's intimate knowledge of each club member is exemplary. Her ability to make everyone feel welcome, included, and valued is a testament to her leadership. She played a pivotal role in planning the recent Tom Price Swim Clinic, ensuring seamless communication with members, assisting with registrations, and suggesting age divisions to maximize the participants' experience.
Not only does Rosie lead by example, but she has also built a strong committee that operates efficiently under her guidance. The primary focus of the committee is to provide club members with numerous opportunities for enhancing their swimming skills.
Rosie's passion extends beyond her own children's swimming endeavours. She is an ardent supporter of all the kids in the club, offering her dedication and encouragement both on the pool deck and in the stands. Her presence is felt not only during smaller club-hosted events but also at larger regional and state-hosted events. Rosie's support and enthusiasm make her an unsung hero of regional swimming, deserving of recognition for her relentless hard work and accomplishments.
