Beverley’s Hollie Smith named December VOTM

11 January 2024

Swimming WA is pleased to announce Hollie Smith, President of Beverley Amateur Swimming Club, as the recipient of the December Volunteer of the Month (VOTM) award. This award recognises Smith's outstanding contributions to the club and the broader regional community.

Hollie Smith's time as Club President during the past season has been marked by incredible dedication and strategic vision. Her devotion to fostering a secure and nurturing environment for young swimmers has played a huge role in the club's success.

Under Smith's leadership, Beverley Amateur Swimming Club has experienced significant growth in membership, a fantastic

result for a smaller regional town. Her ‘outside the box’ thinking and inclusion of as many parents as possible has seen the club go from strength to strength.

The recent Beverley Swim Clinic, devised under Smith's proactive guidance, saw the highest attendance of the season. This success highlights Smith's ability to activate and inspire participation within the local swimming community.

Beyond her role as Club President, Smith is a member of multiple sporting committees in her town, advocating for facility improvements, with a particular focus on the installation of new diving blocks.

Congratulations to Hollie Smith on this well-deserved honour. If you spot someone in your club who has incredible leadership and dedication like Hollie, don't hesitate to nominate them for the January VOTM award. Click here to nominate.
